■Takashimaya Nihombashi store (1933 )

< Overview >
Nihombashi Takashimaya is one of the largest buildings in department store buildings that exist since the early Showa era.
Even now, both the interior and exterior are maintaining their original appearance well.
In building, you can see the design of Sadataro Takahashi, which is a blend of heavy Western European architectural style and Japanese style architectural design. While succeeding this Takahashi's design, Togo Murano extend a building of incorporate modern architectural methods.
It is a masterpiece of Showa architecture which shows splendid harmony.

■My recommendation local food
< Tsujiri >
If you come around here, please go to Kanmi-dokoro "Tsujiri". "Kanmi-dokoro" is meaning Japanese sweets' parlor.
And, "Tsujiri" was started up 40 years ago by the well-established tea maker "Gion-Tsujiri" Company (1860 : Established).

Long ago, it seems that this place was a tea dojo, but please rest assured that it is an ordinary sweets' parlor now haha.
The recommendation here is green tea parfait!
Enjoy a rich green tea sweet by a tea maker with over 150 years of history! By the way, the shops here are pretty and have a nice view with a view over Ginza.
Have a nice trip!(^^)
