■My recommendation local food

< Suzuya Shinjuku > If you come around here please go to “Suzuya Shinjuku”. The following male artists and thinker were known as this restrant's regular customers.
・Shikou Munakata (Printmaker : 1903 - 1975)
・Soetsu Yanagi (Thinker : 1889 - 1961)

The specialty dish “Tonkatsu Ochazuke” is a rare dish combining “Tonkatsu” (pork cutlet) with “Ochazuke” (boiled rice soaked with tea).
“Pour tea into rice!?”
I think that there are many surprising people, but this was the wisdom of Japanese to eat deliciously cold and hardened rice in the age when insulation technology was not yet developed.
When eating, first taste the pork cutlet normally, and when the pork cutlets become less than half the remaining, put the pork cutlets and condiments on rice and hang the tea on top of it. I think that it is surely possible to experience a mysterious taste delicious‼︎
